The All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Democracy and Human Rights in the Gulf is a cross-party parliamentary group of 15 members, of which 10 are office holders, whose purpose is “to promote and protect democracy and human rights in Gulf countries”.

The APPG is currently chaired by Brendan O’Hara MP, Scottish National Party Spokesperson for International Human Rights and Conflict Resolution. The Bahrain Institute for Rights and Democracy (BIRD) acts as the Secretariat.
